1939/45 Star; Pacific Star; CVSM and overseas clasp; War medal (silver); Canadian Forces Decoration- CD (Geo VI) bar Canada reverse engraved “F/L T.A. Causey.” Court mounted, as worn, with corresponding set of miniature medals. Also with a copy of his service file. Thomas Alexander Causey was born 26-4-1916 in Natal, British Columbia. He was married to Jeanie Ferrier Wylie in Victoria, BC on 26 July, 1943. Causey was a student when he enlisted with the RCAF in 1941. He had previously tried to apply in 1939. He enlisted as aircrew but trained as a pilot. He graduated as a Sergeant on 5 June, 1943. Causey was posted to an operational squadron in Alaska where he was instructing transport operational training units in Canada for 18 months. He was considered to have an outstanding ability to learn and intended to pursue pharmacology at the Univeristy. Causey was honourably released 11 September, 1961.
