WWII Memorial Cross and Birks bar to Lance Bombardier F.A. Robinson, R.C.A. KIA 1944


Memorial Cross (Geo VI) reverse engraved “G.8107 L/Bdr F.A. Robinson”.  Lackie, Sterling hallmarked in case of issue.  Birks Memorial Bar engraved ” L/Bdr F.A. Robinson, R.C.A. Died in his Country’s service 23 July 1944.”  Along with widow’s black armband.  Sold with Certificate of Service Scroll (damaged); a “Lest We Forget” certitifcate for Mrs. Fred Robinson of Newcastle, Nova Scotia, remembering his sacrifice. With original Memorial Cross letter addressed to Mrs. H.A. Robinson, widow of G.8107 F.A. Robinson, October 1944.

Frederick Albert Robinson was the son of Sydney Albert and Sarah Elizabeth Robinson of Nordin, New Brunswick.  He was killed-in-action, 23 July 1944, whilst serving with the Royal Canadian Artillery.
