Victory medal (2768898 Pte J.C. Anderson, C.S.E.F.)

James Clarke Anderson was born July 25, 1888 in Ottawa, Ontario.  He was a lumberman by trade and attested on 29 October, 1918 to the Canadian Siberian Expeditionary Force.  Anderson appears to have previous service with the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment.  Curiously a “2768896 Rifleman William Anderson Jr” is listed in Skuce’s book as having sailed to Vladivostock but there is no “James Clarke” listed.  Needs more research.  Anderson’s CEF record does list service in both Canada and Siberia. Medal is very fine – near extremely fine.
