A Great War Pair and Memorial Plaque to C.M.G. Bde, K.I.A. 30 Sept 1918


British War and Victory medal pair (2378467 Pte W. Semmens, C.M.G. Bde); Memorial Plaque (William Semmens). William Semmens was born St. Just, Cornwall, England on 1st February, 1892. He was living in Ironwood, Michigan, USA when he enlisted in the C.E.F. in Winnipeg on the 28 November, 1917. He started out with the 3rd Bn Central Ontario Regiment. Less than a year later, he was serving with the Canadian Machine Gun Brigade and was Killed-in-action on 30 September, 1918. He is remembered with honour Drummond Cemetery, Raillencourt, Nord, France. Extremely fine.
