India General Service medal 1854 bars Samana 1891 and Hazara 1888 to "2111 Sepoy Maniram Gharti, 1st Bn. 5th Goorkha Regt". The 5th Goorkha Regiment was the only Gurkha regiment to serve with the Hazara Field Force 1888 and the only Gurkha Regiment to take an active part in the Second Miranzai Expedition 1891.
